How to overcome fear
What is fear ?
According to Merriam Webster fear is “an unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger.’ Our perception not only determines our behavior or future course of action but it also helps in formulation of certain belief or an idea. Fear is the result of that very perception where one feels that some unpleasant is going to happen. One of the most significant traits of human kind is his ability to discern the things through his experiences and emotions. Fear is natural. In fact, emotion or feeling of fear exists in almost every creatures. Emerging fear inside a person reflects from his behaviors and his action such as trembling, shivering, nervousness, sweating etc. Even earth is forced to tremble as it is also one of the creatures. Whoever is alive or have movement more or less have a feeling of fear. Only one entity which has no fear, no trembles or shivers ie real and true creator of the creatures because HE is not afraid of getting harmed or destroyed instead have full authority to remake the creature if harmed or destroyed.
All the things around us which pertain
to our daily lives cause to create fear inside us. Some of the major examples
of fear are, fear of losing precious or inexpensive things, fear of failures,
fear of rejection in life and fear
of death etc.
Why do we scare ?
We, being human kind believe in self
evolution. Self development and the progress are goal of everyone’s life. Since
we have been believing in moving ahead hence we keep interfering in the basic
structure of system of nature. So, whenever we interfere in the system, we
accordingly will get scared of repurcusion of that interference. In fact, We by and large get scared of our acts in our day to day life whenever we go against
the system. So fears exist with everyone who are part of the system.
Is fear necessary ?
Fear makes us aware about the
impending dangers.It makes us alert so that we could prepare ourselves to face
them in proper way through curtailing the probability of dire consequence of
impending dangers. Since fear is natural and integral part of life hence even
after our great efforts one should not run away from it.In fact, the more we get
involved ourselves in day to day affairs,the more we have to prepare ourselves
to face the fear. Fear gets into our life not because we want it rather it goes
along with human’s evolving mind. Although it also plays a bit protective role for all who
believe in moving ahead in life.
How to deal with fear
1. 1. Don’t run away from fear – Accept the truth that fear keeps
chasing as long as you are alive. Face it bravely. Face it bravely means to
find out the ways as to how to curtail its impact on life. Feeling of impending
danger can be curtailed only when we are fully able to understand the nature
and impacts of fears. Befitting reply to fear is to prepare and respond them
according to its merit.
In short, fear is an integral part of life. Fear keeps chasing all of us right from birth to death. One has to pass through different types of fears in life. The way uncertainty is reality similarly fear is also reality of life. Nature and type of fear vary with the time and circumstances. Hence, face the fear but never let yourself be subjugated by fear. You can overcome fear by staying positive, staying optimistic and by staying consistent in pursuit of your life’s goal.
